I believe everyone has a story, and I believe there is an audience waiting to hear those stories.

This is what inspires me in journalism and gives me the strength to keep going. Journalism is storytelling, and storytelling will never die. I was most recently the Mississippi State beat reporter at The Commercial Dispatch, covering Southeastern Conference football, basketball, baseball and more. I previously covered Dartmouth College athletics and high school sports in New Hampshire and Vermont for the Valley News.

I earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications in 2021. I’ve held various editorial roles for The Daily Northwestern and covered sports for The Daily for four years, and I was also co-president of Northwestern’s chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. At The Daily, I covered nearly every sports team on campus, from football to softball to swimming, and I also have extensive experience with copy editing.

In the fall of 2020, I was a reporting and editorial intern at Vox.com, covering national politics and specifically the 2020 election. I was primarily responsible for composing the daily Sentences newsletter, which has more than 130,000 email subscribers, but also wrote quick news hits and longer, reported features.

I also worked as a freelance reporter for Softball America, writing news features and player profiles on college and professional softball. I have covered the NCAA Regionals, the Tokyo Olympics, the inspiring This Is Us softball team, and the first two seasons of Athletes Unlimited.

When I’m not reporting, I will probably be watching sports, reading, running or spending time with friends and family.
